Aerobics Classes

We are proud to let you know that our Aerobics class are running in full force.  The number of people joining is increasing so drastically.   If things go on at this rate, we may not be able to accomodate the needs of the incumbent members.

Once again Bridgman Centre is proving to ne a much needed place in the life of the communities of mainly Zola, Jabulani and Moletsane.

We say halala Bridgman halala.

Bridgman welcomes TIM

Bridgman Centre has once again opened its doors and welcomes the Training in Mission(TIM) participants.  TIM programme is a Council for World Mission (CWM) initiative which selects a number of young participants for training for a period of one year.  The first six months is spent in South Africa and teh rest in India.  Participants are divided into four groups of 3 each spend two weeks at each placement centre.

We welcomed Prince, Dianna and Victor as the first group of participants.  They spent the two weeks during the school holidays of April.   Unfortunately they were deprived of interaction with the Aftercare kids - who number 53.  They assisted with the planning of the programmes for the following term.  Dianna was fortunate to be invited to lead a training session with our 15 elder ladies who come to the centre to do physical training.

Charles, Tieem and Petagaye, the second group particpated in the more programmes.  They had an opportunity to participate in homebased care run by our own HEDCO group.

Both groups also aprticipated in a rigrous Bible study - which was in preparation for the Bible lesson given to the Aftercare group on Mondays.  We look forward to housing the next two groups.

We are thrilled that Bridgman Centre serves as a learning and teaching institution.

YOUTH GET TOGETHER

"TOGETHER WE CAN !"
Bridgman was host to about 60 youth members of the UCCSA - Central Region.  18- 20 February 2011.  It started on Friday evening and ended with a devine service on Sunday morning led by the Youth.  Nicholas Kondlo gave us the Word.   Amongst the guests present at the |Devine service was Rev Cheryl Dibeela - who was the celebrant at the  Holy Commuion together with Rev DJ Nxumalo - the Mission Council convenor of the Central Region

The rain on Saturday could not dampen the spirit of the Youth - as they sang, played, worshipped and fellowshipped together.  Thanks Rev MT Mcopela who led one of the eveing service and his presence throughout the weekend.  Sis Pauline also came to support and guide the youth.

A meeting was held in the evening on Saturday where the youth openly expressed their desire to have an improved ministry.   They took it upon themselves - working with the Mission Council - that things can only get better.

We had a pleasure of welcoming 22 guests from Singapore American School who spent a week at the Bridgman Centre in Zola.  What a pleasure it was indeed.
